i just had the honor to sit back and enjoy dinner with Jim Driver. He has nearly 4000 photos shot between 1963 - 1965. that was when you actually developed your shit yourself. back then people didn't think out of focus shit was "artistic" or "textured". He has a blog surfers rule.
Jim had the honor of being mentored by LeRoy Grannis. After eating dinner with Jim and listening to him recall those days...i felt like i had just mined some stoke. jim exudes stoke.
aframe photo has archived some of his stuff. Jim has an amazing story. I shot an interview with him. I'll try to post up some of it eventually.
